1. Reload the tray with correct media size.
2. Make sure tray is loaded properly.

the length guide, width guide and size selector switch on the paper
tray have been correctly. Make sure that paper is under the front
paper tabs. 6. Check
the control panel setting for the paper size is correctly configured. HP

1. Check sensors for proper operation.

ERROR 41.5 UNEXPECTED PAPER TYPE IN PAPER TRAY 1.The
printer detected a paper type different from the expected size. 2.
Reload the tray with the correct paper type. 3.
Reconfigure the media type that matches the driver setting type or
reconfigure the paper tray type to the printer.
HP COLOR LASER PRINTER
4500, 4550 1.
The paper tray is configured for specific media type, but the printer
detects a different media type loaded. 2.
Verify that the correct media is loaded in the input tray and the
printer control panel is configured correctly. 3.
Check for paper jam at the registration plate under the IBT drawer.
The engine tries to check the OHT sensor and receives an error. 4.
Replace the IBT drawer. HP

The printer senses a different media type in the media paper path than
configured in the paper tray. 2.
