1.Temporary error code. Turn printer off then wait 20 or 30 minutes
the turn back on.
2. Low or unstable power. Check the wall voltage. If on a surge protector
plug straight in two the wall. 3.
Bad fuser ass'y. 4.
Bad low voltage power supply 5.
Bad D.C. controller
HP LASER PRINTERS 2, 2D, 3, 3D
1. Defective fuser cable to DC controller.
2. Defective fuser and AC power supply
3. Defective fuser.
4. Defective AC power.
5. Temporary error code.
HP LASER PRINTERS 2P, 2P+, 3P
1. Defective fuser.
2. Temporary error code.
3. Defective ac power supply.
HP LASER PRINTERS 3SI, 4SI
1.Temporary error code. Turn printer off then wait 20 or 30 minutes
the turn back on
2. Improperly seated fuser.
3. Defective fuser.
4. Bad ac power supply. 5.
Bad D.C. controller

1. Temporary error code. Turn printer off then wait 20 or 30 minutes

Change cable from fuser to power supply

1. Improperly seated fuser.

LASER PRINTER 1100, 2100, 4000, 4050 1. Turn printer off then wait 20 or 30 minutes. 2.
If printer is hooked up to uninterruptible power supply or surge
protector plug straight in to wall. 2.
Replace fuser ass'y 3.
Replace engine board.
HP LASER PRINTER 1200, 2200, 3100 FAX, 3200 FAX, 4100
1. Turn printer off then wait 20 or 30 minutes
2. Improperly seated fuser.
4. Defective fuser. Replace the fuser ass'y
3. Temporary error code.

If the error persists, replace the ECU.

LASER PRINTER 2300 ERROR 50.X 1.
A fuser error has occurred. 2.
Turn printer of and then on again. 3.
Replace the fuser ass'y 4.
Replace the engine board. 5.
If you still have a problem with the error 50 and you change all of
those parts, DO NOT CALL ME!

LASER PRINTER 4200, 4300
1.
Turn the printer off and allow it to cool down. 2.
Make sure that you put the correct model fuser in the right printer.
The two printers (4200, 4300) fuser ass'y will fit in the two models
but will come up with error 50 3.
Check the connector between the fuser and the printer. Replace it if
it's damages. 4.
Bad fuser ass'y 5.
Bad D.C. controller. 6.
Bad power supply. HP
LASER PRINTER 5000, 51000 1.
Turn the printer off and allow it to cool down for a minimum of 20
minutes. 2.
Move the printer to another power source and disconnect it from any
UPS or surge protector 3.
Replace fuser ass'y 4.
Replace the power supply 5.
Replace the D.C. controller. HP

Make sure fuser is installed correctly. 2.

1. Improperly seated fuser.

Turn the printer off and allow it to cool down for a minimum of 20
minutes. 2.
Reinstall the fuser ass'y 3.
Replace the fuser ass'y 4.
Replace the fuser power supply or the low voltage power supply. 4.
Replace the D.C. controller PCB. Calibrate the printer after replacing
the D.C controller

1. Improperly seated fuser.
